Target Controversy?

Apparently Target will not be having bell ringers for Salvation Army this year (see here for a round up of articles on this, you will need to scroll a bit). Personally, this makes little to no difference to me, as the bell ringers start to drive me nuts after a while. I don't mind giving the money, in fact I almost always toss in something when passing them. It's just nice to think that while out shopping there is at least one less think to think about when exiting/entering a store, and one less cause of congestion at the enterance. Plus, I know that when I christmas shop, I go to multiple stores so the ringers will still get my change other places. And then I won't have the "I didn't drop anything in the bucket" guilt the few times I don't have change/bills conveinent on my way out/in. I just don't understand why people are making a mountain out of a molehill, especially during a season when there are tons of ways to donate some extra cash.
